I agree. I wish some of the songs would have started with a bang instead of the slow build in each song.

It is certainly different, but, in my opinion not as nearly as bad as some critics are making it out to be online.

It is a lot more "Electronic". Especially the drums, we only get to hear clean drumming a handful of times. The previous albums also had a more grittier side to them. Also no song on the new album goes straight into the metal side. Like "Gods" or "Vore" for example. The buildups are much longer here.

the new album is so boring. good opener, good second track, killer end track. everything in-between is completely nothing. cannot remember any single track, just boring. 2.5/5.

Of course this is gonna be a Day 1 listen but I'm not really excited about this album much anymore after hearing the direction of the first 3 singles. I really hope the album is still a banger

Emergence is text book Sleep Token. The other two typical fillers they have on every album.

Mainly pop-trap with some guitars randomly thrown in. They're so out of place at times it's almost embarrassing. Not really my cup of tea. Feels like music tailored for the zoomers' scattered mind and short attention span. It tries to come off as cultured and complex, but ends up sounding trite and boring at best.

What a great ending! I think so Half of the album is very good and the other half is also good! The tracks are well arranged from start to finish and we hear a good structure.. We will definitely have a heavier album one day because Sleep Token can do anything.. Anyway this album was an elegant and beautiful album that had different details and layers. The vocals are unique and beautiful and they are in different techniques.. Can anyone do this? It's not easy to make a multi-genre and modern album. We shouldn't always be looking for Banger tracks! The details of each song are great on their own.. Thanks Sleep Token 🤍 ♫ \m/

I'm conflicted. After the last single was released I realized this wasn't going to be my favorite album by them but I was still pretty excited for a good time. I'm left feeling... idk. The album didn't have the same flow from song to song that they usually do, at least to me. Even in Arcadia is an imense and forboding track but it ends and goes into Provider which doesn't carry that same weight and feels plinky plonky in comparison. And the worst part is... again... to me... some of the songs were forgettable? I think I'll grow to like this album but it will be a slow climb I think.

Funny that the album starts with "Look to Windward" because this is exactly what I felt while listening to it. I was expecting chaos and lots of heavy drums, but I got Vessel doing a therapy session looking inside himself and this is more intimate than ever. Worship! ❤️

I hope we're gonna hear more post-metal influences on this album just like we did on Emergence. I really love it when those parts hit. Which is why I'm a big fan of One.
